Problems with e-id

If you have problems configuring the plugin for your browser but have the Belgian e-id viewer application working properly on your computer then you can create an account by giving an e-id file and choosing your password. Afterwards you will be able to log in using your national registration number and the password you entered.

How to create an e-id file?

• Start the Belgian eID Viewer on your computer
• Enter your Belgian identity card in the card reader
• When your card information is displayed: click 'File' > 'Save As'
• Save the file somewhere on your computer
